Liquidnet for Good
At Liquidnet, our drive for innovation powers not only the pursuit of more efficient institutional investing, but also the pursuit of a better world. We believe in the potential of one and the impact of many.
Since 2007, we have committed a portion of our revenues to social causes through Liquidnet For Good, our corporate social engagement program. We recognize our responsibility to leverage all of our resources—our financial capital, our human capital, our technology, and our expertise—to strengthen the local communities where we have operations and offer innovative solutions to global challenges. From fueling the development of more efficient philanthropic markets to investing in the potential of Rwanda and their orphans through the Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village, we are constantly seeking ways to efficiently unleash capital to address society’s greatest challenges.
Markets for Good

In a perfect world, markets would efficiently distribute money—in the form of debt, equity and philanthropic grants—to organizations that are sustainably achieving the greatest social impact.
Markets for Good is Liquidnet’s initiative to leverage our core competency—using technology to make markets more efficient—to help efficiently unleash more capital to address society’s greatest challenges.
Global Impact
The 1994 Genocide in Rwanda represents the failure of the global community to act. The Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village(ASYV) represents the hope created when a global community of passionate people comes together. A home, community, and high school for hundreds of orphans and vulnerable children in Rwanda, the ASYV is an innovative approach to comprehensively deal with the needs of traumatized youth in the developing world.
The Liquidnet Family—employees and their family members—helped launch the ASYV and continue to support the project in a variety of ways:
“Village People” volunteer trips
Several times each year, teams of Liquidnet employees and their family members travel to Rwanda to volunteer their skills directly at the project. More than 50 employees and family members have traveled so far, assisting with projects ranging from establishing the IT infrastructure to setting up accounting systems to leading capacity-building leadership training sessions for local staff.
Management Support
Since the earliest stages of the ASYV’s planning, the Liquidnet Family has offered time, expertise, and passion to make the dream a reality.
Race4Rwanda
Teams of employees train for months to take on challenging races to raise money and awareness for the project. More than 40 employees and family members participated in the New York City Triathlon, raising over $180,000 for the ASYV.
We leverage our vast resources to strengthen the communities where we live and offer innovative solutions to global challenges.
