Privacy Statement


INFORMATION COLLECTED

Like most websites, the website (collectively with all information and other materials contained therein, and all services related thereto, the “Website”) provided by Liquidnet Holdings, Inc. and its subsidiaries (collectively solely for purposes of this Privacy Statement, “Liquidnet”) may collect Data (as defined herein) on the general usage of the Website.  While visitors to the Website (each, a “Visitor”) navigate the Website, Liquidnet may collect information by utilizing commonly used information-gathering tools, such as cookies.  Cookies are small text files that are placed in a Visitor’s computer and contain no personal information about the Visitor but enable Liquidnet to determine whether such Visitor has previously viewed the Website.

Visitors applying for a job through the Website are redirected to a separate portal that may request (i) “Contact Information”, such as a person’s name, address, telephone number and email address, and (ii) “Applicant Information”, such as a resume or curriculum vitae, all of which will be directed to a member of our People Team.  All such Contact Information and Applicant Information, and all other information submitted by a Visitor to Liquidnet or collected by Liquidnet through the Website, is collectively referred to herein as “Data”.

CUSTOMER DATA

Liquidnet acknowledges that each Visitor has certain rights regarding Data pertaining to such Visitor.  If a Visitor wishes to exercise any of those rights, please send an email to privacy@liquidnet.com, which will be addressed within a reasonable timeframe.

SHARING OF INFORMATION COLLECTED

No Data will be sold or transferred for promotional purposes to any person or entity unaffiliated with Liquidnet.

CORRECTING AND UPDATING INFORMATION

Liquidnet may retain Data for a period of time consistent with the original purpose of collection.  In addition, Data may be held for a period of time needed for Liquidnet to pursue our legitimate business interests, conduct audits, comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

Each Visitor may request to review, correct, update, delete or otherwise modify certain Data pertaining to it.  For Liquidnet members, please log into the trading platform to update user, profile and organizational settings.  For other requests to review, correct, update, delete or otherwise modify Data, please send an email to privacy@liquidnet.com, which will be addressed within a reasonable timeframe.

USE OF INFORMATION COLLECTED

The Website maintains logs that, when analyzed, show Visitor internet protocol or IP addresses, browser configurations, dates and times of visits, and pages viewed.  This information is used to analyze overall trends, to track and aggregate non-personal information, and to help Liquidnet improve the Website and the services it offers.

INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER OF INFORMATION COLLECTED

Liquidnet stores Data in the United States. To facilitate Liquidnet global operations, Liquidnet may transfer and access Data from around the world, including from other countries in which Liquidnet has operations. A list of Liquidnet’s global offices is available here: https://www.liquidnet.com/locations-contacts. This Privacy Statement shall apply even if Liquidnet transfers Data to other countries.

SECURITY

Liquidnet uses robust security measures to protect Data.  In addition, Liquidnet is SSAE 18 compliant and ISO 27001 certified.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY STATEMENT

From time to time at its discretion, Liquidnet may amend, revise, modify or otherwise supplement this Privacy Statement, including, without limitation, as may be necessary to comply with legal and regulatory requirements. This Privacy Statement should be regularly checked for updates. If any significant changes regarding the terms and usage of Data are made that differ from those stated at the time of collection, Liquidnet will post a notification in respect thereof on the Website.
