  • A fall in volatility saw a marginal increase in dark and block activity, as the ASX200 av daily VIX value fell 12.9% (to 14.2) in April from March.

  • ASX200 dark (ex blocks) activity rebounded to 18.1% in April, while broader market activity also improved to 7.1% (+2% MoM for both).

  • Within the ASX200, CAR was most actively traded name in the dark at 28.1%, extending a steady uptrend since December 2025.

  • Across the ASX200, on average 9.1% was traded as a block. TPG was the most blocked up name, with 53% of its turnover traded as a bock.
